The Bela nedeja Event, traditionally celebrated in Plomin, once again gathered a large number of visitors and lovers of local customs. This year’s program offered a variety of content, including cultural, entertainment, and sports activities.

The main event was the traditional feast, which began with a mass in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary. The event was accompanied by a local products fair, where visitors could enjoy domestic delicacies, cured meats, honey, chestnuts, cheese, handicrafts, and local wines – Vosilla and Foškić wines. The fair, as every year, attracted the attention of both locals and numerous tourists.

The cultural and entertainment program was opened by the KUD Zlatela with a performance by the youngest group Zlatelići, who showcased traditional dances. Children from the DV Kockica kindergarten also performed a recital and a lively dance. Dejan Jedretić on accordion, Duo Magnolija, and Vesna Nežić Ružić ensured a cheerful atmosphere in the musical part of the program.

The rich gastronomic offer was provided by Pizzeria Burra and Restaurant Dorina, with their traditional dishes.

As part of the event, a creative Wine and Art workshop was held, giving participants the opportunity to paint their own artwork while enjoying a glass of local wine. At an interesting children's workshop, led by artist Anita Pilat, children painted cloth bags with Glagolitic letters, learning how to write the first letter of their name in the ancient script!

A beautifully decorated photo corner attracted numerous visitors, who took the opportunity to capture memories from this year’s Bela nedeja. Special thanks go to the team from Vintage Wheels and Jelena, whose effort and creativity made this corner an unmissable attraction.

The sports section of the program was highlighted by a Briškula and Trešeta tournament held on Saturday. Among 25 pairs, Valdi Bubić and Josip Zandel took first place, Livio Radovan and Branko Lovrečić came second, and Davor Tominović and Franko Vojić finished third. Prizes – prosciutto, cheese, and cases of beer – were provided by Sirana Fajman, Diskont Dorina, Market Lori, and the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Kršan.

On Sunday morning, a fishing competition was held, organized by SRD Plomin. Elvis Bažon and Mladen Lukšić took first place, Esad Čolić and Mirko Marković came second, and Robert Belić and Damir Širol finished third. In the shore fishing competition, Ivica Mrgan and his team won by catching the largest fish – a sea bream weighing 962 grams. The celebration continued at Konoba Porat.

Thanks to excellent weather, a joyful atmosphere, and high attendance, this year’s Plomin Bela nedeja once again confirmed its status as a traditional event that should be preserved and nurtured.
