Festival of wild plants in Kršan 6.- 7.5.

The main stars of the Krsan festival of wild plants awaits you! For the twelfth year in a row, the first weekend in May Kršan is dedicated to herbs and to all of you who will participate in interesting lectures and workshops, as well as sign up for various outdoor activities. A festival without glamour, a festival where the main role is played by nature and wild plants and, of course, visitors and numerous exhibitors. The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday starting at 11 a.m., and the tent is open for all visitors on Saturday and Sunday until 7 p.m. Already on the first day, Saturday, May 6, you can find out why wild plant foods are important for health and the environment, and this will be talked about by Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Ivana Vitasović Kosić.
You will learn about the influence of plants on our body and how you can slow down aging from nutritionist Dr.Sc. Martine Linardić. There will be words about plant species that promote health status and should be included in our diet. One of the topics of Saturday's lectures is about ecology under the title "Where does the waste go"?, and Prof. Ph.D. Aleksandra Anić Vučinićwill talk about it.
On Sunday, May 7, Ph.D. Snježana Bilić will talk about why every tree is a treasure, and Žaklina Stroligo, a phytoaromatherapist, will teach you how to care for your skin properly in layers.
The workshops you can participate in are those on raw food, wild herbs in handmade paper, how to make natural cosmetics from the herbs of Gorski Kotar, and how to make chocolate with wild herbs. Raw food is an appropriate topic for spring, which Mihaela Brijak Gutierrez, the owner of the Zagreb trade of the same name, will educate you about. We will talk about the detoxification of the body, which cleanses the body of toxins, improves digestion, strengthens the immune system and contributes to healing itself. Of course, our well-known herbalist and participant of all previous festivals, Franko Zgrablić, will take you on a two-day demonstration of picking herbs in the Kras meadows, and we have also prepared Nordic walking and cycling under name Kršan spring bike tour for you. We also thought of gastronomic pleasures, and there you will also have the opportunity to learn how to make pasta with semi-wild plants and much more. This year, the organizers are the Tourist Board of the municipality of Kršan, the municipality of Kršan and the agricultural cooperative Čepić polje, with the co-organization of the Administrative Department for Agriculture of the Istrian County and numerous sponsors and friends of the Festival.
